The Office of Policy serves the Secretary and the rest of the agency by providing analysis and subject matter expertise to advance the agency’s goals. The office facilitates decision-making by providing policy analysis, economic analysis and cross-department and interagency coordination to ensure decisions that impact the American people are effective and furthers strategic goals. The office is responsible for long-term strategic planning and plays an important part in resource allocation decisions to ensure alignment between operations and policy.
