The Core Offices
Each agency is comprised of several important offices, all of which play an essential role in the operations of the agency and the Secretary. As such, the heads of these offices are usually political appointments and sometimes Senate confirmed. Each office is charged with its own duties, responsibilities, and goals to help the agency succeed.
While no agency looks exactly the same, this lesson offers an overview of offices generally found in an executive branch agency, along with their roles and functions as part of the executive branch.
